Renee Nixon
When FOX introduced
the VIP program it was a unique opportunity for FOX 50 viewers to become
“insiders.” The network prepared to offer one (1) lucky viewer in various
markets an opportunity to receive insider info about shows and cool gifts
branded by some of the most popular shows on TV. After looking at many video
submissions, Renee Nixon stood out as being a loyal viewer with a quirky and
humorous way of expressing her views about her favorite FOX 50 shows. As a
graduate of Hillside High School and North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro , this Durham , NC native wasn’t shy about her love for “American Idol” and the former smash hit “24.” It’s no
surprise that she was such a huge fan of “24” and its movie-like production.
Renee realized her love of cinema while in college and in her spare time she
writes for her own website The Movie Talk (themovietalkonline.com)
If that wasn’t
impressive enough, Renee can recite the season 1 Idol finalists and loves to
chat about past seasons “most –memorable” contestants.
In addition to her
movie website, Renee has written several plays. Five of her plays have been
read at the bi-annual National Black Theater Festival in Winston-Salem . She is
a member of the Alpha Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a board member of the National Alumni
Association of Hillside High School (NAAHHS) and is an active member in her
church. Recently, Renee was crowned the first Ms. Hillside Alumni for raising
money for her high school alma mater. In her spare time, Renee enjoys spending time with
family and friends, reading, watching
movies, collecting Barbie dolls
and dancing. She is the proud Godmother of 7 Godchildren and
is currently writing her first romance novel.
